The Emerging Scholars Award program was created in 2020 to showcase the innovative and cutting-edge research of junior and early career neurologists and neuroscientists. Top-scoring abstracts are chosen by the Annual Meeting Programming (AMP) Committee and Plenary Session chairs to be presented during the plenary sessions of the Annual Meeting.
Eligibility:
Student, Resident, Trainee, Postdoc Fellow, Assistant Professor & Instructor
Process:
Candidates are selected once all abstracts are reviewed and scored. Abstracts submitted by those in the eligible career categories are sent to the chairs of the Plenary Sessions. The chairs select six (6) abstracts whose authors present during the various Plenary Sessions at the Annual Meeting. If the author of the abstract cannot attend and present at the Annual Meeting, the co-author is permitted to present as long as they are a student, resident, trainee, postdoc fellow, undergrad, assistant professor, or instructor.
Prize:
Three presenters are eligible for a prize of $250. The recipient is determined by the AMP committee after the session and based on the scores of each presentation. The presenters with the highest 3 scores each receive the $250.
