In recognition of Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month this June, NIA will host an #AlzScience Twitter Chat on June 15th, from 1—2 pm ET. Join NIA and partners in the research community to discuss exciting Alzheimer’s research, the importance of brain donation, and progress made in the field. In addition, NIA will feature Alzheimer’s disease information and resources on Facebook throughout the month, with a different focus each week:
- Week 1 (June 6 – 10): Explore the basics of Alzheimer’s, including signs and symptoms, how Alzheimer’s changes the brain, and the genetics of the disease.
- Week 2 (June 13 – 17): Find information for people living with dementia, including tips on care, support, and planning for the future, as well as advice from people living with Alzheimer’s.
- Week 3 (June 20 – 24): Learn about Alzheimer’s caregiving, including helpful resources and tips and personal stories from Alzheimer’s caregivers.
- Week 4 (June 27 – July 1): Discover how to help advance Alzheimer’s research, including the role of clinical trials and the importance of brain donation.
